EXCAVARA // THE FINE PRINT
PRIVACY
The short version: we store the minimum needed to keep your digs, drops and claims working, we sell nothing to no one, and you can have it all deleted with one e-mail.
WHAT WE STORE, AND WHY
An account is just your e-mail address (magic-link sign-in, no passwords). It exists so your excavation progress, collection and shard balance survive across devices.
When you reach a core and register, your excavator number, chosen alias, rank title, depth and dig time go on that drop’s public register. Signing the ledger stores your message publicly too — other diggers pass it as an echo in the walls.
Artists who submit a drop: we store your request, the files you upload and your contact e-mail, so we can build your world and reach you.
PAYMENTS
Payments run entirely through Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers — we only learn that a payment succeeded, and for which request or shard pack.
ON YOUR DEVICE
Your dig progress, collection and settings live in your browser’s local storage — that is what makes playing without an account possible. Clearing your browser data clears them; an account is the only backup.
We use no advertising cookies and no cross-site trackers. Page-view counts are collected anonymously (Vercel Analytics) so we know which drops get dug.
ON-CHAIN CLAIMS
Claiming a first-50 edition writes your wallet address to a public blockchain. That part is by design permanent and public — that’s what makes it yours.
YOUR RIGHTS
Want your account, register entries, ledger messages or uploaded files gone? One e-mail and we dig them out: timmostrey@gmail.com. On-chain claims are the single exception — no one can unwrite a blockchain.
We never sell or share your data with anyone. There is no one to share it with; this is an archive, not an ad network.
